This is all so incredibly interesting to me. My daughter has been in a custody battle for 5 years. And for the life of me I DO NOT understand the system!! My daughter has been through attorneys money ect just wanting shared parenting with a man who has manipulated the court system or someone for way to long!! And it’s my Grandchildren who are paying for all of it! I just CAN’T get anywhere!!
Thank you so much for supporting your daughter. The understanding and encouragement of family through this difficult experience can make a big difference. I applaud you for trying to educate yourself on her experience, that's a great gesture of empathy.
Yep, it can be a complex system, with procedures, roles and language that are specific to the family courts.
This year there have been several public hearings (now available on YouTube) from the Arizona Ad Hoc Committee on Family Court Orders. Different parents going through the family court system come up and speak about their experience. You might consider listening to some of their statements, which can be helpful for understanding patterns.
Thank you for being a reader, I'm glad you are here.
I'm eager to hear your response and feedback-- what has been your experience interacting with these different roles?
