Thanking you again for all your engagement. It means a lot to me. It encourages me to keep going, keep writing, keep sharing what information and resources I can find. I'm working on a post now, in response to your comment here. Apologies if the lag was too long. I care about this topic and definitely want to try to help, however I can.
So, thanks for your guidance and input. The upcoming post is dedicated to you!
I cannot thank you enough for your work….no need to apologize for a little lag! I look forward to your article and please know what you do is of utmost importance !!
Thank you so much for this!!! I was part of this horror until my abuser died. I try to walk alongside other abused women trying to navigate this horror…I will pass along to them.
Thank *you* so much for your feedback. I'm grateful to you for taking the time to reply, and it sounds like we share similar inspirations.
I launched "Protect the Parents" this past June. This publication is partly a passion project, partly spiritual warfare, and partly an extension of my master's thesis. While pursuing my master's in journalism from Columbia University, I spent 2 years investigating the experience of "Ruth" and her 7-year old son. All that comes to mind about how to describe this experience is that it crushed me. It has become one of those things in life that You Can't Let Go.
I had never wanted anything so badly in my life. To see this specific change in the world, to witness a particular result-- that Ruth would no longer have to share custody, and that her son would no longer be subjected to his abuser. That man who happens to share his blood; that man who was supposed to do things very, very differently.
I've continued to try to get my thesis published. Until then, I thought I could still try to help, and engage with this subject, through this Substack. I've also been posting on Medium, Patreon and X (aka Twitter).
The publication is free, and I'm eager to write on topics that are most helpful and healing to readers. I super, super appreciate you passing along this channel to others. If anyone is able to make a donation, that is helpful but not required. Mostly I want to see the laws change, that is the main thing.
Hello. I'd like to share my story. I'm coming up on 13 year divorce in New York City. I had the entire playbook thrown at me for 11 years. After 7 seizures from the stress, I decided to go public. Turn my tree of life connections on Facebook into an alternate jury. If the courts wouldn't accept evidence of the Narcissist Abuse.. I would record it on permanent public record. Got my kids back through force which almost never happens. My daughter just stood up to her abusive mother and we released that too. It's extremely aggressive and never advised by anyone. All I knew is this had to end someway. I think my story can others. So can my 12 1/2 years as now a well supported pro se. I'm also a big believer that in certain areas... like Manhattan... you MUST represent yourself. A lesson I had to learn very late bin this. Can I reference my Facebook page Dave Weigel.71. or Dave Weigel NYC. Or www.FamilyCourtFraudWarrior.com. Trying to help the movement. Thank you Dave
Topics: how do we expose the corrupt family court system without putting ourselves in harm’s way?
What to do when CPS, Children’s Advocacy Centers, etc. discount the child abuse?
How to deal with flying monkeys of the abuser?
How to talk to children living this horror?
